From Outdated to Modern Marvel: A Complete Kitchen Transformation

Why remodel?

“It was time,” said the homeowners of this outdated kitchen. They were ready for a new, fresh kitchen, and since they were revamping the space, they decided to also convert to a range instead of a separate oven and cooktop. Chris Kuhr, Refresh Renovations Consultant and his team created a design, plan and budget for the new kitchen. Once all preplanning was finished, the remodel began. 

Build Stage 

As this kitchen was getting a complete new look, all existing lighting, countertops,  cabinets, appliances and plumbing fixtures were removed and disposed of. Once the demo concluded, work to convert the existing cooktop wiring to a range and new lighting was installed. Afterwards, new cabinets were installed, followed by the countertops. The final installation were the new stainless steel appliances, and plumbing fixtures. 

Stainless Steel Appliances - Smart Fridge, Range, & Beverage Fridge 

The homeowners decided to jazz up their new kitchen with cool appliances, which included the following… 

1. The smart fridge connects to your home wifi network. They have the ability to show what’s inside the fridge, send expiration alerts and adjust settings. 
2. A range featuring a stacked double oven, four burners, plus a griddle top. Having a double oven provides you the opportunity to cook multiple dishes that require different cooking temperatures. The griddle is a fun feature, to cook a variety of foods on (steaks, pancakes etc) but the griddle can also be used as a warming station, keeping food warm. 
3. The beverage fridge is the appliance to have to keep your beverages organized and free up space in your regular fridge. 

Kitchen Cabinets - Drawer vs. Cabinet Storage 

Homeowners decided to go with a variety of drawer, cabinet and decorative open shelving for their kitchen storage needs. Kitchen drawers can offer you ease to instantly see all contents without bending or kneeling down. White kitchen cabinets offer you the ability to store items that are too big for drawers (large pots, cookbooks, etc). In this case, the open shelving in the kitchen is being used to display decorative items and make the space more personal. There are plenty of kitchen storage options to choose from and depending on your kitchen tools, plus your style of organization some may be better options than others. 

Completed Kitchen Remodel

This space has totally transformed! It began as an outdated kitchen, and now a beautiful modern kitchen equipped with smart kitchen appliances. The design and material choices made by the homeowners were done intentionally for a technologically savvy and organized kitchen.
