Masterful Makeover: Transforming a Spring, TX Bathroom with Refresh Renovations

Spring, TX homeowner was ready for a refreshed master bath. Robert, a local Refresh Renovations consultant along with his team developed a scope of work, a design, a budget and timeline for the homeowners based on their vision for the space. Once the planning was finalized, work on a new master bath began. 

Remodel Work 

As this renovation was a full bathroom renovation, the demo crew were instructed to remove all current fixtures of the space, including the towel closet. Once the space was removed of the ‘old’, the Refresh team began working on the rough-in stage for the ‘new’. 

During the rough-in stage, a carpenter framed the new and slightly larger shower. Next the plumber ensured that the plumbing was re-routed per the new plumbing fixtures for, both, the new walk in shower and freestanding tub. Lastly, the electrician laid a new electrical path for a chandelier feature over the new free-standing tub. 

With the rough-in stage completed, the Refresh team could begin on the next stage: the base stage. Throughout the course of this stage, the new space begins to take shape. The drywall crew is onsite to repair the space as needed from the demo stage. The tiler arrives to water-proof the shower and the walls of the surrounding walls, before laying tile throughout the space. Concluding this stage was the carpenter, installing the baseboards.  

Onto the final stage: the finish stage. With the end in sight, this stage was focused on completing the space and taking care of the final details. Firstly, cabinets and countertops were installed, followed by the shower glass install. Next, the plumber and electrician returned to finish their work, by installing new fixtures. Second to last step was the painting crew to provide the space with a new coat of paint. Lastly, the final details of the space, hanging mirrors, and decorative wall shelves/features.   

Final Results

While the layout of the space remained roughly the same, the shower was enlarged by eliminating the linen closet and, hence, one of the many doors in this small room.  This space looks completely different. It now has a new stylish and sophisticated atmosphere. The homeowner is enjoying the new and improved functionality of both vanities, the larger walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, the freestanding tub, and the overall feel of the space.
